From the Specac product overview

One partner, every sample state

Solids ground and pressed into KBr pellets. Liquids injected into fixed or demountable transmission cells. Gases measured in 10 cm short-path or multi-metre multipass cells. Films pressed to exact thickness. Surfaces read by ATR and grazing-angle reflectance. Whatever arrives at your bench, there is a correct way to present it to the beam — our job is to specify it.

Learn how each technique works

The catalogue is the start, not the limit

The full range runs to thousands of parts — and where no standard part fits, we specify customised sampling solutions and cells engineered for extreme pressure and temperature.

Interactive tool

Not sure which accessory fits your sample?

Answer two questions — what your sample is, and what you need from the measurement — and our selector recommends the technique, the accessory and the consumables, built on Specac's own product-selection matrix.

Research pricing · India

Special pricing for India's research community

Two categories of Indian customers qualify for dedicated discounts — and for concessional customs duty on imported scientific instruments, which we administer end to end.

Category 1

Public-funded research institutions

Universities, national laboratories, publicly funded research institutions and non-commercial research bodies receive special institutional pricing across the range.

Category 2

DSIR-registered R&D units

In-house R&D units of private companies holding DSIR recognition qualify for the same dedicated discount structure.

Added savings

Concessional customs duty — handled for you

Both categories are additionally eligible for concessional customs duty on imported scientific instruments under the applicable notifications. Our group includes a licensed customs broker, so the certification and clearance are done correctly and the saving actually reaches your budget.
